Dear Friends

The reaction to the redesigned newsletter format by Andy Ellwood is fantastic. We will continue to make it better and to suit our readers’ interests.

I am just back from a truly mind-boggling, sensory-overload trip to India. The slums in SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE exist, everywhere…next to upscale shopping centers and fancy hotels. Mumbai, Goa and Kolkata were my destinations with the intention to learn about the Indian film world…Bollywood and Beyond. I saw a lot of movies and met film people ranging from classic directors like Mrinal Sen to some of the hottest new talent around. It is my hope to write up some of the adventures with some photos and put them in a blog . I will keep you informed.
